Buzzer Beaters reign in Horizon League semi-finals

Ahhh, now this is what we all have come to know and love about college basketball and tournament time. BUZZER BEATERS!!!! If you're a fan you should've tuned in to what was taking place in the Horizon League as it was simply....



Saturday gave us our fair share of them along with crazy finishes all together. Perhaps none better than the preseason last place pick Wright State, who was the 3rd seed in the Horizon League tournament, doing this:




So, pressure turned on the host Valparaiso as they took on a Green Bay team they've crushed in both meetings this year. Easy pickings right? Ah, not so fast my friend as the Phoenix were game and took a two point lead to the line with 6.2 seconds left.

Yes, that's right both semi-final games in the Horizon League ended in dramatic buzzer beaters. You simply can't make this stuff up, folks.

It'll be interesting to see how these two teams could possibly top this on Tuesday night on ESPN, huh?

Side Note: The Horizon League wasn't the only one with dramatics as Belmont took down OVC power Murray State in overtime to win the OVC title in their first year in the league.
