Just like that....Two Top seeds eliminated

It was 9:42pm on the east coast and top seed Middle Tennessee State and Stony Brook are fighting for their tournament lives.

Middle Tennessee State and their 28-4 record are attempting a late comeback against Richard Pitino's Florida International squad. Yes, Rick Pitino's son. But the Golden Panthers knock down key free throws and just like that, MTSU is done and the question will be, do they get an at-large bid with their lofty 28-4 record.

A couple of minutes later, Stony Brook had cut Albany's lead to 1. But that is as close as the top seeded Seawolves got and Albany eliminated Stony Brook and their 24-7 record.

It was synchronized March Madness with two teams favored to go dancing in a couple of weeks seeing the wind leave their sails and now wait for the tournament committee to announce the at-large teams next Sunday.
