In the MAAC quarterfinals, it was business as usual for the top half of the bracket as top seed Niagara defeated 9th seed Siena 74-62. Antoine Mason had 21 points in the win. They will face 4th seed Iona who took out 5th seed Canisius in a tight one 89-85.
In the bottom half of the bracket is where things got interesting. Upset was the word of the day as 6th seed Manhattan defeated 3rd seed Loyola 55-52 behind Rhamel Brown's 12 point, 12 rebound effort. In even a bigger upset, 7th seed Fairfield defeated 2nd seed Rider, setting up a meeting between the 6 and 7 seeds in one semifinal.
